January 19, 2010 - CORE in partnership with IDC launches The Outsourcing Monitor

CORE and IDC Canada recently released the research findings of the first Outsourcing Monitor. Through an hour long, well-attended webcast, the presentation was led by Sebastien Ruest, VP, IDC Canada and Frank Hart from Prima Management Consulting. Frank was previously the President of EDS Canada. The report focussed on an update on the impact of recession on Canadian outsourcing marketplace and analysed major trends for offshoring. The webcast included a global offshoring research expert from UK to weigh in on global sourcing trends.

The Outsourcing Monitor will be the definitive source for Canadian outsourcing market information, trends and activity.  It will draw on the experience of leading industry experts. The Monitor will report on IT and BPO outsourcing activity, including metrics such as the current levels of contract signings, average length of contract, outsourcing spending and pipeline or the value of the outsourcing contracts vendors are pursuing.  The Monitor will also include commentary on market trends, how IT outsourcing is helping Canadian companies on a global basis and areas that challenge both vendor and client alike.  The Monitor is founded on IDC surveys and Services Contract Database, alongwith recurring in-person interviews with vendors, advisors and outsourcing decision makers. The Outsourcing Monitor will thereafter be issued twice a year.
