President's Message

Dear CORE Members and Friends,

It's been a busy spring ..

We drew an audience of 170 senior participants to CORE's Third Annual Forum held in Toronto on April 17th . Feedback for the event was very positive on both the topics and the presenters. Many individuals and organizations worked hard to support this event and make it a success and I take this opportunity to thank them. If you missed the conference, indepth interviews with both our distinguished keynote speakers were taped and are posted on the Home Page of the CORE website.

The morning of the conference was also our first Annual General Meeting and I are pleased to announce that Frank Hart, Barb Hambly, Jennifer James, and Robert Joslin were elected to the CORE Board. Their collective outsourcing experience and resources will be a credit to CORE and its members.

Earlier in April, we issued our Annual Satisfaction Survey. Thank you to all who took the survey - your feedback will be used to help us plan the upcoming year. We had a fairly high respondent rate for the survey. The results show that 70% of members believe CORE is a helpful source of knowledge and information about outsourcing. Support was also expressed for our conferences and discussion forums; 75% of respondents affirmed CORE research reports provide real value to them; and an impressive 92% of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with CORE as a whole.

We are focusing this month on healthcare - the third largest employment sector in the country after manufacturing and retail - by hosting a full-day event New Delivery Models in Healthcare. At this conference, CORE will provide a platform for a progressive discussion around sustainable, integrated approaches to better service delivery. An outstanding line-up of speakers will be brought together for this event in Toronto on May 22 and I hope to see many of you there. Special rates for groups of 3 or more are available. Currently underway is the May offering of our executive education program, consisting of four educational modules leading to the Accredited Outsourcing Practitioner ^TM designation. Our May courses are full, but registration has opened for the November offering and classes have started filling up.
