Our Executive Education programs draw participants from a wide range of industries, organizations and regions who not only benefit from the experience of the facilitators but also from each other. CORE offers an overview/introductory program as well as three advanced level programs in which a more comprehensive view of specific aspects of outsourcing are covered.

Overview Program

Essentials of Outsourcing (Module 1)

From Strategy to Results: An overview of the entire outsourcing process, providing participants with an appreciation of how outsourcing deals should be conceived, implemented and managed.  This course includes an option for participants to join in an engaging relationship management discussion with an industry expert over dinner.

Participant Profile

  • Individuals who are relatively new to outsourcing and are looking to develop their understanding and awareness of the key elements of an outsourcing arrangement.
  • Business or functional area leaders who are sponsoring, leading or managing their first outsourcing transaction and need an end-to-end overview of the outsourcing process.

Advanced Programs

Outsourcing Strategy and Scoping (Module 2)

An examination of how organizations develop their outsourcing strategies in relation to corporate strategy, and how they scope and design individual outsourcing transactions.

Participant Profile

For individuals who have at least one year of full-time experience with an outsourcing deal or at least two outsourcing deals within the scope of their responsibility who want to expand the depth of their knowledge and capabilities

  • Senior corporate and public sector executives responsible for overall outsourcing strategy
  • Senior business unit and functional executives who are the sponsors of outsourcing deals
  • Sourcing executives and managers
  • Line managers responsible for outsourcing relationships (e.g. Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Facilities Management etc.)
  • In-house and external legal counsel responsible for negotiating deals

Governance and Relationship Management (Module 3)

An examination of outsourcing governance models, issues and best practices, with a focus on the establishment of the retained team, the governance of the relationship with the service provider and internal decision-making processes.

Participant Profile

For individuals who have at least one year of full-time experience with an outsourcing deal or at least two outsourcing deals within the scope of their responsibility who want to expand the depth of their knowledge and capabilities
