Client Roundtables are a large part of the CORE program this year. The table leverages the experiences and viewpoints of the participants allowing them to share ideas, strategies and solutions.

Ron Babin
Director and Assistant Professor, Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of IT Management [ITM]
Ron Babin is a management consultant who specializes in Outsourcing and IT Management issues. Mr. Babin is currently the Director and Assistant Professor at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of IT Management (ITM). Ron has extensive experience as a senior management consultant at two global consulting firms. As a partner at Accenture and prior to that at KPMG, he was responsible for IT Management and Strategy practices in Toronto. His consulting activities focused on helping client executives to improve the business value delivered by IT within their organization. Ron teaches IT management courses at York University’s Schulich Executive Education Centre and Ryerson University. At Manchester University he is a member of the Centre for Development Informatics. He is been an advisor to the IT program at the Richard Ivey School of Business, to the IT program at Sheridan College. Ron has been a regular judge at the MIS case competition at the annual Inter-Collegiate Business Competition at Queen’s University. Ron is on the editorial board of the peer-reviewed Journal of Information Management and Computer Security. His most recent paper examining the effects of CSR on Outsourcing was published in the Journal of IS Applied Research. Ron is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and is a board member of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario.He is also a board member of the CIO Association of Ontario and in April 2009, joined the CORE Board of Directors.
Mary Whatman
Vice President, IT Services Delivery, Rogers Communications Inc.
As Vice President of IT Services Delivery, Mary is accountable to lead transformational initiatives across Rogers’ operational organizations while driving the delivery model towards operational excellence. In her career at Rogers, Ms. Whatman has also assumed responsibility for the IT Business Management organization, whose mandate includes establishing IT strategic and tactical plans for organizational, process and technology evolutions including delivering alternative sourcing models. Prior to joining Rogers in 2006, Mary held leadership positions in private and public organizations where she implemented large organization, process, product, and system programs to support business initiatives in a global marketplace. The organizations span many sectors including telecommunications, finance, manufacturing, insurance, medical and crown corporations. Mary is also on the CORE Board of Directors.
