The Outsourcing Monitor is a combined effort of CORE and IDC. The Monitor is quickly becoming the definitive source for Canadian outsourcing market information, trends and activities. The first Outsourcing Monitor in June, 2009 concluded that companies were approaching outsourcing as a means to rapidly reduce the cost of operations and establish a framework to exit the recession as more agile and efficient. The 2008/2009 recession has also allowed companies the opportunity to not only rethink how IT is delivered, but also reshape the way they do business. Our follow-on research in January of this year led us to predict that there would be more outsourcing, offshoring and pressure on both vendors and buyers to extract more value from sourcing.
This Monitor release will focus on cloud computing and the impact Cloud will have on sourcing strategies. Is cloud computing an opportunity to meet the ongoing challenges that IT organizations face? How will Cloud impact outsourcing relationships now and in the future. What are the benefits and associated risks? Join us for this webinar that explores - will Cloud transform outsourcing?
The approach to gather the required data and information is through interviews with senior leaders of major service providers, selected CORE members and large Canadian buyers of outsourcing services, as well as IDC's demand tracking of the outsourcing market.
